Earth Day
It’s been a while I ranted about beliefs and demons and
witches and how I despise them even in my dreams, I might want to take a slightly
different approach to my rants as today is earth day and as incidents which are
trivial in nature shape the world and push us into newer realities, it always
becomes important to examine what we as humans have given to this planet.
All the evolution that happened, we were by chance made the
smartest living creatures on this planet with its fast depleting natural
resources. We loved ruling animals,
dictating how nature should behave with us, how humans should cross each other’s
land (visa’s, passports), our love to turn forests in to real estates, heavily
relying on religions to satisfy our quest for the questions which were hardly
answered, creating multiple God’s and expecting them solve our problems we have
really come long way from an Amoeba to homo sapiens.
Humanity has sunk into new lows, take for example the
Captain who recently abandoned his ship with many children which was sinking
into cold waters in Korea. There is on an average one bomb blast every day in
Iraq and Afghanistan which mutilates many able young men. Where are we heading as civilization? As we
progress into 21st century we are only becoming more and more
hostile to this planet. We have
forgotten that this is the only planet that we live in.
One of the major pain areas has been the sects that we have
made across the globe each following a belief or age old faith system and
clinging so hard to it that, other fellow human beings become invisible to
their eyes as they are not in that “special”
religious circle.
We have
distanced each other with such a dedicated determination that we don’t mind
killing another human being with same color of blood, a beating heart and with
an immense capability in terms of his/her brain all in the name of the faiths
that we follow. I only wonder if we
really need these “morally” biding religions anymore and the God’s who were
supposed to protect those children in the sinking ship.
May be it is time we looked at humanity as tread bearer
religion for every human being on this planet, may be it is time we really put
back the greenery into the forests, may be it is time we erased those heartless
boundaries across countries and civilization and made one goal that is to save
this planet, save it from our selfish motives, save it from our bloodshed's and
save it from a possible extinction to our next generations.
May be its too late…
